Her
Samadei. The one who notices the light in a room first, and makes sure everyone else does too. Every evening with her ends later than planned and better than expected.

Him
Heshan. The one who books the table and plans the evening, then happily lets it run late. Quiet until he isn't; then the whole room knows.

Us
Then, the same table. Somewhere between the first dinner and the hundredth, the city became the backdrop and this became the story.
